CONCLUSION
Le comit� est bien conscient de l'ampleur des bouleversements que son sc�nario de restructuration et ses recommandations risquent de provoquer. Il sait aussi que l'hypoth�se qu'il a retenue ne fera pas l'unanimit�. Aucun sc�nario, d'ailleurs, ne fera l'unanimit�. Le comit� en a �cart� d'autres avant de faire son choix d�finitif.
Compte tenu de l'analyse du contexte, des constats et des objectifs, l'hypoth�se du statu quo, plus ou moins am�lior�, n'a pas �t� retenue; on le comprendra facilement. Nous avons aussi �cart� l'id�e quand m�me int�ressante de regrouper des facult�s en des ensembles facultaires plus importants. Malgr� ses m�rites, cette hypoth�se heurte de front les petites facult�s, elle manque de souplesse et surtout elle ne permet pas d'aller assez loin dans la voie de la d�centralisation et de l'int�gration des fonctions administratives et politiques.
Le comit� a aussi consid�r� la strat�gie de proc�der par �tapes avant d'en arriver � une structure sectorielle d�centralis�e. Nous avons rapidement convenu, comme nous l'indiquions plus haut dans la mise en garde, que la structure propos�e ne survivrait pas � une hybridation, m�me temporaire, avec le statu quo.
Le comit� a surtout voulu d�montrer qu'une autre fa�on de penser la structure de l'Universit� est possible. Il a voulu placer la communaut� universitaire face � un v�ritable choix. Les propositions soumises ici se veulent une invitation et un d�fi � la lucidit�, � l'audace, � l'imagination et � la cr�ativit�.
